Madagascar suffers from poor hospital environments as well as a lack of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment that makes it difficult for local people to access medical services. As a way to solve this problem, we are planning a mobile care business to nurture local medical personnel specializing in the field integration.
Why do we do it in Madagascar?
- 13,150 doctors (as of 2010) with less than 100 surgeons
- 2a lack of government support, including 3 percent of the total budget for medical expenses
- 313.9 doctors per 100,000 people (Korea : 200 doctors)
- 454% of patients without medical facilities within 5 km. lack poor hospital environment, diagnosis and treatment equipment
- 51 surgical hospital treatment range = 6,600㎢ (about 10 times the area of Seoul)
- 6Difficulty in patient transport due to poor road conditions and lack of proper means of transportation
